Try Model Cars of the World in Burwood :

http://www.modelcars.com.au/

In Essendon, All cars in scale is pretty good too.

If you can get a 67 Coupe model somewhere, let me know. I've been on the lookout for 3 1/2 years for one!:_  None in Melbourne , I reckon.

Not in Melbourne but FYI's I have a few models & the best detailed is my "ERTL" brand model, the 65 GT springtime yellow fastback, unbelievable, even has ignition/trunk key dangling from the dash, soft seat belts, fold down front & slide forward bucket seats & fully folding rear. Bought mine from the states (www.sportcraftcars.com). Have seen it here in Sydney (www.shiremodels.com.au) for $127. Again in sydney & online only but check him out, http://www.bongosbasement.com.au/store (also selling on eBay). The Welly brand is no where near as good as the ERTL. Jada brand is pretty good, you get what you pay for!
If you haven't grown up & matured by the age of 55, (65 now & nothin has changed) YOU DON'T HAVE TOO.....Gary

Ive collected heaps of models over about 10 years so may be able to help.

The 67 Coupe in springtime yellow and various other colours is a Greenlight model which are limited runs, pretty average when compared with others for the price of about $120.  Only 67 coupe to have ever been done so far to my knowledge.

Classic Carlecables have made some very nice 66 coupes, Red, Black in RHD and Torquiose in LHD (RRP was $195).  I have one of these on Ebay at the moment if you want to take a look.  Im selling lots of my 1/18 to enhance my 1/1.  Item 120400327537

Lots of Fastbacks in 65-66 but all are average when compared to the Classics model.

Shelby Authentics have quite a lot out including Eleanor.  $100 or so.

GMP make some very nice race cars as well.  Mostly fastbacks.  Can get pricey +$200.  I have a very nice Mark Donohoe 65 GT350 FB.

Autoart are getting into these as well.  Have done a few 67 FB as well.  Expect around $120 for these.

1964 1/2 made by Ertl Precision 100 is a great model.

Give Brad and Moira a try at All Car in Scale in Niddrie, very helpful and prices are reasonable, some of the other stores are not.

lol just so everyone knows this topic was secretly made by my missus to find a model of my new 66' for my birthday. She found the perfect model at MODEL CARS OF THE WORLD in burwood. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business. Great service and range and they have a few sales going at the moment too!!!!! Got $50 off the purchase price just because she ordered it prior to purchase!!
