can't remember exactly, but last year I think I paid around $840,
all 8 cylinder vehicles cost the same, if you go on to club rego I think it's around $200-$250 but don't quote me on that

Wow.

Full reg in Victoria is around $590 for those in the city and around $500 for the country. Club permits are $90.

Don't tell Brumby or he might jack it up to those prices as well. We do, however, pay about $0.10c more per litre for petrol in Victoria.

Yep the Mussy rego arrived a fortnight ago at $593.80

Sheesh, $822.80 in Qld. And a labour government looking after the working man !

Pig's b*m.

Must be the working man in the mines on a $ squillion a week, or at least those still working.

What are your rules on club rego?

Here in S.A. we have to have the car the way it came out the factory. No aftermarket wheels, carbs, manifolds, extractors or modifications.

Just interested if your club rego is the same or its only us that have the strict headmaster.

Club rego in Qld may be dearer than in the southern states  but we don't have the sort of guidelines that exist in SA.
Thank God.
While nothing will ever be perfect it ain't too bad up here. I personally have never had any drama's other than the odd copper wanting to have a look. Which is fine with me as long as they don't waste too much of my time.

its the CTP Insurance that pushes the price up.  v8 Rego is $514.80 then you add in $308.00 for CTP

Hi Guys.

What are the guidelines for club rego in all the other states (and territories)? In Victoria you can only drive the vehicle to events that are Vicroads approved for club plated cars or from home to a repairer to have work done to the car. If caught driving say down to the street and you cannot prove you are attending an approved event, it is a $560 fine - for driving an unregistered vehicle.

Bring on the proposed 90 day club rego scheme.

In South Australia it is $115 a year. You get a log book and have to write in there your destination and the date. You are allowed 90 entries a year. It does not matter if it is a club run or not. ;_

Down side is the cars have to be as they came out the factory. No mods!:*

The only way to be allowed modifications is to have it right hand drive and on full rego. $800+ a year.  I think its our governments way of having a hoon tax ;2

In Queensland it is within 15km of home for test run, to a place for repairs, in a direct relatives ceremony such as weddings (son, daughter etc), a club run (any club) or to a club sponsored show I believe.
