Thanks so far, I am hoping to by one in the US, I have been told it is genuine, although I don't have numbers off seller as yet. I might need to have the vehicle inspected by a brooker.

Hi dto308,

Based on the experiences of previous posts re US purchases, I think most would strongly recommend a vehicle inspection.

And in your case, there are many mock or dealer optioned GTs being sold as "genuine GTs". There is a premium for genuine GTs so this should be explored thoroughly ... Good luck with your purchase .

By the way, I have bought a 65 vert and a 66 vert GT privately from the US "sight unseen" and have been absolutely rapt with my cars ...

Hold on a second, the 5th letter on my 65's VIN is a T !!!!

It says GT on the side next to the 350, so it must be a GT right ???

What were you told when you bought it???

That it had a Chev 350 motor in it hence the 350 beside the GT on the stripe. :+

Seriously though, I know people who would be easily taken on this ride who don't know the finer details when looking for a certain type of car. I no expert on the Mustang side of things but I can pick a 54H body of a Falcon GT  a mile away.

Thanks for the web link, always handy. :(
