How's it going?

Hi my name is Andrew. I am just at the stage of completing work to my 1970 Mach 1 Mustang for registartion and engineers inspection. The car is Jade in colour with a green interior (love 1970 colour schemes) and is running a 351W and FMX Transmission. Hope to have this process finished in the next couple weeks so I can enjoy the car for the rest of summer.

hope to see you all on the road soon..

Sounds like we both have been going through the same process of cleaning up bits and pieces. At this stage I have restored the interior, replaced probably 90% of suspension and steering and spent some time getting the mechanicals up to a more serviceable condition. I classify the body on the car as a 20 foot art work because at that range it looks OK but the closer you get to the car the more faults come visible in the paint work and the panel gaps. Plan at this stage is to collect all the bits and piece to do a body restoration before I bite the bullet and expense of a body restoration.

My car was also a 20-30 footer - had an old acrylic paint job that was faded, scratched and had some minor dents.
Decided to go jet black with satin bonnet and rear panel.
Will show all the minor defects - of which there are still many - but it will be a big improvement on before.

Will post some b4 and after pics when it is done.

Cheers,
Frank.
