Congrats Stanglover.

Get it running and get it rego'd, then worry about some of the cosmetics.  Then enjoy the cruising.

Cheers

Thanks guys.....

not sure if i can get it registered without carpet, roof lining, torn seats, and ofcourse non running engine.
so confused wether to just fix interior and get motor running, or strip it all out, take out motor, take off body kit as i have a complete eleanor kit, put tat on, sand blast whole car, spray eleanor charcoal grey with strips, fix interior, while motor is out, either build it up or swap it for a 351 or 390......and bobs ur uncle

:+:+:+.....even though i laugh im serious but almost need a mustang financial advisor to tell me wat im up for either way????!!!!

Forget the elenor kit, you have something far nicer and longer lasting than the elenor stuff ever will be. That way you get to use the car sooner.
JMO
cheers.

;_......just come up from giving it its first good hand wash and polish!!!!
Although not perferct, she's come up really nice and shiny!!!!
Now just need to get the motor started.....getting no power or crank or lights...nothing when i turn the key.
Looks like its got a fairly new battery, there's fuel in the fuel gauge.
hmmm....any ideas?

I'm leaning towards not touching the kit or the paint job also.
Now the delimma is color choice for the interior.... or should i do it all black interior? black carpet, upholstery, roof lining, door panels??

See the photos above and give me your thoughts.....much appreciated.

Bad earth  perhaps??
Though maybe the battery is dead flat.... perhaps lights were left on at some stage or the battery is just discharging itself.
Maybe if you had a battery pack you could try and jump it.

Black interior id vote for!

Do you have access to anything like a multimeter or a hydrometer? or can you use the battery from another vehicle?
You are entering the fun stage:+.
cheers.

Alternator perhaps???? I'm not mechanically minded but a mate was around and said it might be able to start if I had a long screw driver, he wanted to do something with the alternator?!....don't ask me, I got no idea.;]....maybe one day I will. ... or should I say I must!!

Should of seen the look on his face when it arrived on the back of the towey.;x;x;x
