LSV Insurance Exposure
« on: October 26, 2008, 06:29:49 pm »
Has any one had any experience with LSV Lumley Special Vehicle Insurance, I currently have three cars insured with Shannon’s, two are current models and one is my prized passion my 66 mustang, I thought at the recent roundup in Dandenong I would get a price and the price came in at half the price that I’m currently paying, Current premium is around $2kpa with Shannon’s and LSV was around $1kpa and thinking of changing as all T&C seem same.

Regards,

daponi

I am with them and have been for a while (since they bought out vigil).  Used them once and they were good at the fixing.  I have no complaints at all.  They upped the agreed value on my 65 coupe to just about what I have put into it without any hassles.;_
65 T code coupe.
Blown 302. Heidts suspension, tricked C4
Gear vendors overdrive, RRS rack and pinion
Street or track roller perches adjustable struts.
60 F100.
Warm 289, AOD

Hey Daponi,
Yep I am also with LSV and even got a new quote sent after the Dandenong Roundup. It was A-OK!
They are determined not to lose my business and I will get herselfs car done thru them as well.
I have been with them for 3 + years.

LSV deserves our support, seeing they contributed to the recent state round-up, as we all know what happens to our hard earned when a market is cornered. You've only got to look at petrol prices at the moment compared to oil per barrel, even with the little battler err, tanking !.

I know someone who found that Shannons could suddenly all but halve their quote when there was a sniff of competition.

I too had a comparative quote done for all my 4 cars. It came in at $1300 cheaper and they also gave me an extra $15K on my Torana.

I read the Policy booklet and it all checked out..... It was well timed as the Stang & Torana were out of Insurance this week....... They now have my business and I'll be taking the other two daily drivers over when their insurance expires in Feb 09.

My Torana has a 355 Stroker, 9 inch, Turbo 400, Bigger wheels/tyres & Big Manifold & Carb..... They simply said to send in a list with all modifications so it can be noted....... I'll see if I get any backlash from what I send them.

It all sounded positive over the phone.

We have just had a quote done on our 6 vehicles, including daily driver and a highly modified vehicle and they came out more expensibe by $400,  and I think their cover doesnt seem to be as good.

Wasaths, did you happen to tell them that you are a member of MOCA. If you're not, it makes quite a difference, especially here in Victoria!

No, but I did mention I had send this thread on the Mustang Forum and I did say that I was a member of a club, but did not specify which club. Maybe I will get back to them and see if I can get a better quote?

Well, its the way to get club member business.  Help out on sponsorship and allow discounts to members policies.
