Saw your car at Geezers the other day mate.Don't know why you were thinking about a different colour other than blue for.Half your car is already blue and that blue looks good.

Did you ever ring Dave Johnson ? If you went to the Brisbane Rod show there around were 3 cars that he did there, including his Summer nats wild custom winner from the 80's Jigsaw the FJ holden.

lol long storey paul.. I paid the guy his deposit of 1k to start the  job on thursday and after working on it for a day he desided he wanted more money to do the job. so im now going to have to look into taking the car somewere else saying i cant afford what he is asking but at least by next friday all the body work will be done by them. so i just need to find a good painter.

Seems to me you have found the two worst panel shops on the coast.
What is with the cash up front? They have the car as security and WTF is wrong with a quote I jnow if I quote and stuff up the price I have to wear it.
What makes these a..holes any different.
I may be wrong but s.it .

yeahh I did get a quote from this bloke John but then again quotes dont seem to mean anything anymore. its just very furstrating for me that this is the 2nd time that this has happned. I dont know what it is but it realy would be very nice to bring the car home painted for once.

Thanks paull ill have to give him a buzz to see what i can come up with. the car is comming home next friday so hopfully all the body work and blocking back will be done.

Have you considered taking the car and payment on satisfactory completion.
I think that some of these pr.cks are having a lend due to you'r age. I may be wrong but..
A quote on acceptance and signing is a contract in my books and if I don't get my money I want a bloody good reason why not .

Unfortunately John,I think alot of these shops see young guys  as full of ideas but not the cash to pay for their
dreams. Can't understand the reasoning though,it's the younger guys(and girls) that are all cashed up.

wells heres the thing what I cant understand is why he would spend a hole day reasembling all the front end of the car and doing the door gaps when they have to come off again for paint. He started the car by doing this and then i came down to see him again he put his price up after working on the car & he reckons that was all of my thousand doller deposit all gone from putting the panels back on and doing the door gaps & gards. it just shi's me so bad I cant get my car painted with out having these problams.

Panel gaps have to be set and checked before painting.  If you do it afterwards, you have missed the opportunity to massage the panels for a better fit.

He was doing the right thing.
