65 Coupe front suspension problem
« on: March 26, 2006, 03:44:31 pm »
I know next to nothing about suspension. My problem is my right hand side tyre rubs in the wheel arch when turning left, either uphill, downhill (or on the flat too, but less-so). No similar problem on the left hand side. I've already had all the rubbers changed to new urethane. If I'm looking to replace the shocks and or springs, what is a reliable combination available in Australia - without the need to go to a complete RRS system? Is there anything else that could casue the problem?

The car is not a daily driver, only weekend work.

Thanks in advance

Mark

Sure you don't have a reproduction RHF guard fitted?
Had this with a 67, and the arch is actually narrower.  It may need to be rolled.

Have also seen this on a 65, where on all models the guard edge normally carries a partial roll from factory....the repro was flat.
