G'day,

I have a 67 mustang which I have had for 4 years now, and have just noticed that the chassis no does not correspond with that on the import papers. The number on the driver side door does though. The vehicle is being restored.

On closer inpsection of the chassis panels (left and right), they have seem to have been replaced at one time due to the obvious weld marks.

Am I still able to get this registered in QLD? Is the car now a dud?
I'm not quite sure on who to ask, Please advise.

Thanks heaps in advance
Rossi

Rossi.
Maybe when it comes time to register the car you only point out the numbers that do match. I know from my experience with Qld transport you can go from one branch to another and get conflicting stories.
Give them what you think is right and be prepared to dig your toes in if necessary. The desk jockeys aren't up with the play all the time .

Good luck.

PS have you considered joining MOCA  Qld.

Cheers John.
