Repair of total control products rack
« on: February 13, 2024, 07:57:03 pm »
Hi

I have a Total Control Products rack and pinion where the bushing on the left side of the rack is binding. It has been on the car for about 8 years.

I have taken it to Kents in Melbourne and they stated it was a bush but would not repair it. Another specialist repairer said we only work on standard equipment. Spoke to Total Control Products and they would not sell the part seperately either. They just said they will only look at it if I shipped it back to the USA.

I am now at a point of going to a borgeson as there is no way for the rack to be repaired unless there is a repairer willing to take on the job. Does anyone know someone who could assist?

Have you talked to RRS.  They aren't cheap but they might help.

Active said they only work on standard so was a no. I may ask RRS but I doubt they would rebuild a competitors product. Thank you though
