Yeah, agree. Always thought it a no-brainer to use hydrogen: the most abundant element, can be obtained easily through 'green' practices, and few noxious wastes.
EV powered vehicles always sounded like an interim fix because of the battery issue, regardless of that technology changing to use other elements, they still use finite resources and the mining/processing consequences. Batteries will always be limited by the periodic table.
Don't see any disbenefits of hydrogen engines - mechanics have been working on petrol/LPG vehicles for decades with few if any problems.
