New Purchase

I am looking to buy a 1969 Mach 1.  I have found one in not bad condition.  I have checked matching numbers etc and am pretty happy with the car.  The only problem I have is the car is Silver Jade.  I am not real keen on this colour and was hoping to find a Black Jade original.  My question is if I buy this Mustang and spray it a different colour to original will it detract from its resale value.   I am new to Mustang restorations and was hoping someone may be able to provide some help with this.

My preference would be for the colour to match the tag, but hey its a real world. It wouldn't stop me buying the car but I would use the incorrect colour as a barganing point to TRY and get the price down.
At the end of the day if you intend to keep the car does it matter? Do what you want, it is your's after all, therfore it is only you it needs to please.
Just my two bits.
