Hi all.
Looking to upgrade to a higer amp alternator has anybody used the ford 3 g altenator.
Im running new upgraded wiring harness from american autowire twim thermo fans, sniper efi, digital dash, head light upgrade etc. No AC.
Any thoughts.

A 130A 3g needs either a serpentine belt, or a dual groove alternator pulley and two v-belts.
90A 3g can use a single v-belt without squealing.
I like the 3g for its 14+ volts charging at idle. They sense voltage requirements better than other setups.
The first V8 mustang with an electric fan, was also the first mustang with a 3g.
