Search for my dads Mustang
« on: January 31, 2022, 02:48:10 am »
Me and my dad are looking for his Mustang he owned it from NEW - 1965 to 1973.
The latest information we have - is that it was shipped to Australia in 2004.
It was a 1965 Mustang convertible - more info in the pics
TIA

Hey Pete,
Hope you find your dads car, there is a red convertible about 65 - 66 in Bathurst.
Now has black roof and interior, worth a try!
And it’s in brilliant condition!
Next time I see him I’ll mention it.
I’m not sure if he is on the Forum.
Cheers Phil.

Pete.
I’ve sent the details through to a friend of his!

You do know there are thousands of red convertible mustangs in Australia.
Very collectable and desirable!

But going through the forum is a great start!

Cheers Phil.

Hey Pete,
I think I’ve given wrong information sorry.
I’ve just read it was imported in 2004.
This bloke has had it much longer than that!
Cheers Phil.

Hello BBQPete,
Bit of a long shot, but a few months ago, there was a 65 K code convertible for sale in Western Australia. [ I tried to find the advertisement but no luck} Advertised specs matched your build sheet details.
The seller is a very reputable Mustang expert who brought in a lot of first gen Mustangs during the 90's and 2000's and does top notch restorations. His name is Salvo who is well known among the WA Mustang fraternity.

Good luck mate...
Mike

For $2.00 you can search the chassis number and see if it exists debt free, stolen or written off in Australia.
At least you would know if it still exists
May be worth a try
