Day out in Gladstone
« on: May 04, 2008, 09:41:30 pm »
Was a nice day here in CQ today (4th May) for abit of a get together of different cars trucks, bikes utes etc!
I met Tom today, owns the Red Mustang and his wife Sam! Great looking car and just like all of us still got things to do on our cars. We had a chat about what and how too's... Places to buy parts etc... We saw another Stang in the car park but they didn't identify themselves.. Tom and Sam told me of a possible 3 or 4 more Mustangs that are here in Gladstone and it's my wish to maybe get together one day just to say hi..
I've added a link for you to look at and would just like to say sorry about the Non Ford entries that i've added

Cheers

All good, head on prang right in front of us, the girl driver didn't look like she was in a good way though.  Traffic was a bit tough coming up to Bribie.

We passed on the winery visit to try and beat the traffic but
ended up crawling from Steve Irwin way to BP Caboolture.AS a motorway the Bruce hwy makes a good car park.Bob may have his temperature problems tested to the max on the way home unless he goes the back way.

Went the back way same as you,Paul.Much better when you keep moving. We had a good run all the way to the Highway at the Bribie merge .Temp gauge stayed rock solid all weekend so I was pretty happy.Wouldn't have been able to do anything anyhow without access to the motor.:+
We didn't get away from the winery until 2pm so it was good that you and Suzanne left earlier,Paul.
Great weekend though. Thanks to Robyn,Gordon,Colleen and Darryl.;_

New radiator and a clutch fan seems to have fixed my problems(at the moment).
Darryl(Derwin66) is our resident expert on overheating in Mustangs.Try to find his topic,it's a few pages back. All good info.

Scott,
Good pics. Interesting you included the B model Mack..
We used to own one. I can remember sitting on my dads knee while he let go of the steering wheel at 50MPH to change gears.
You need both hands when the truck has a Joey box with two gear sticks!
They just dont make em like they used to...
