Agread Shannons. $40,000 could be about $400 - $450 depending on usage

If thats a Fastback GT-350 Clone you might want to insure it for more then 40K. Most people I know insure their fastback for at least 50K.

Hi Dave,
Very nice car mate. I would get Shannons to Insure it for at least $50K mate as you have to remember that if it is written off how long and hard it will be to to get another one and more then likely cost more then you paid for this one.  You will also find some other things to spend money on when you get it.
I have mine Insured for 60K with Shannons and it cost $588.00 and that is the only policy I have with them.
Just an idea for you to consider. These cars are worth more in Aus then US at the moment so Inusre it for the replacement value here.

Cheers

I have my car (OK not a valuable as yours) parked in security parking spot in my unit block. Shannons would insure me as I dont have a lock up garage.
Lumley (Vigil) would. It is insured for $15K for $380/year. Bargain.
James.

Hi Dave,
There are a lot of cost to get a car here. Have you considered the following....
Shipping
Shipping insurance
Compliance
Roadworthy
Transport in the US & Australia
Stamp Duty
Rego & 3rd Party
Things that don't work when you recieve the car
and so on......

If you got that fastback here and on the road for $32K I must congratulate you for doing a bloody good job. It must have been very cheap in the US and if so I hope you got a company to do an apprasial on it.
It looks like a nice car. Hope everything goes well for you. Well Done;{

Everything has been factored in with the car except how much the rego will be and insurance, freight both here and in US and gst etc is all worked out and the paperwork.

I have allowed upto 35k landed and going with alarm and some problems ;} so hopefully she comes in at that if not well it doesnt matter. I will still Love it its only money after all lol.

Cheers for the help

Dave.

I am also with VIGIL ( Now Lumley Special Vehicles /  LSV).  A fair bit cheaper than Shannon's quote but not exactly the same benefits! Happy for now.

LSV offered me $58000.00 on the net for $511.
I went with Shannons for $50000.00 for $438.00.
I also have my bike with them.
Cheers Brent
