Ok back to my original question . On another mustang group a guy is tell me and everyone else that you could order a 351 R code , hmm , and the R meant ram air . He is talking 69 and 70 models not a 71 R code 351 .  I need members in the know and with the  knowledge  to set this right ,there was or was not in 69/70 mustangs R code 351 mustangs built , no guessing but fact . He said he has five high end classic mustangs so he knows what he is talking about and I don't . I am a moderator on that group and as advised me I should not be as I don't know much about mustangs     But wait there is more  :lmao: . I cant answer this one as there are many stories about this one , he says 69 Mach 1s came with 351 Clevelands and said he has seen one and it has a Marty report stating it . I know the 351c was made in late 69 but did ford fit them into 69 mustangs ? . I have never seen a factory fitted 351c but that's not saying ford did not fit them ?? .  True or false on both questions please .

Jiffy would know. I have a double R code 69, Ram air 428 manual. I thought 69mustangs had Windsor's but happy to be corrected

Glenn - probably something you've already looked at, but did you either try contacting Marti direct or getting hold of the "Mustang by the numbers" book they put out?
Cheers,
Brian

I don't think the Marti report called out the casting plant of the engines - it would simply say 351 4V engine from memory, not 351 Cleveland or 351 Windsor, so I think we can call BS on that particular part....

This car advertises a '69 351 Windsor with a shaker and a Marti, but doesn't show a copy of the Mari unfortunately.
http://classiccarsmarks.com/ford/28408-1969-mach-1-mustang-m-code-shaker-marti-report.html

This site talks about available options for '69 Mustangs and their prices at the bottom of the page calls out price of the 351W shaker:

I've checked my Mustang by the Numbers book and no mention of any R code 351s as expected
