That's pretty bad, but sadly typical of some big cities here. The Compton numbers were just a guess, however, in just the city of Los Angeles alone there were 297 murders in 2018 which was down 9% from 2017, and there were only 27,246 violent crimes.

Barnett , Aussies don't realise the city of LA is not all the other cities around it like Compton ,long beach etc etc . All those other cities are called suburbs here . The city of LA is quite small in area .

Yeah when I shouted my sons a trip to the US in 2016, I needed an address for our first night's accomodation for the ESTA document. I chose a delightful little motel on Compton Blvd and discovered when we got there that the pictures that they use on the internet don't bear any resemblance to the actual place.
Still, it was pretty exciting watching a Police chase with 2 helicopters live on TV that ended a block from our motel.

Been to Compton, Watts, South Central plenty of times.

Townsville last week,

18 Drug dealers charged, $1.3 Million in cash seized, $5 Million in illegal drugs seized.
Two 13 year old girls bashed with a hammer during a home invasion, then their house set on fire.
30 Break and enters.
18 cars stolen last weekend alone.

And now Labor State Government want to pay Police overtime to take these teen crims, when they
are on bail, fishing or to football games using police resources and taxpayers money!!!..

Would suggest you change business plans, there is a heap of people doing restoration work and specialising in Classic cars, probably more lucrative to Fit Automotive Alarms and Tracking devices as well as House alarms.

You are not going to dampen my spirit Ausfox. Deal is done, contract signed, I am committed. Just so you can sleep at nights, I will be 20k out of town in a very plush suburb. Like I said I have done my research so chill out and don't worry i am not trying to step on your buddies toes.
The sooner you leave Townsville the better it will be for me by the sounds of it.

It is a good question....as a matter of fact it has already started. The less I transport interstate the easier the move will be. I have lots of Mustang parts piled up over the years, new and used so you are and everyone else welcome to drop in and see what you can use. I don't want to throw good stuff away.
