Hi Guys,

Does anyone know any mechanic that is good with early Mustang 289 in Sydney. I am at Collaroy in the Northern beaches so someone up here would be good.

Your reply would be appreciated.

These days trying to find an old time mechanic is like trying to source NOS parts. It's getting harder and harder. So if nobody here can suggest a good tuner then let the ol fingers do the walking or even ask family or friends. Here's a tip ask the guys at a speed shop or even Repco if they sell Holleys they might be able to recommend a good mechanic.
Money is made to be spent.

On the northern beaches I would call "Tilleys automotive"

 Tilley's  Automotive Services
  32 -34 Sydenham Rd Brookvale 2100
 (02) 9938 6293
  OR...  (02) 9905 9670

They know old school stuff :(

Pony GT..........How did you go with Tilleys'?

If no good, the only other old school mechanic I can suggest is Bob Meally Automotive (@Mortdale)

Cheers Dave

You can always cruise out west to Carline Mufflers at Penrith and see Wayne & Shane Bryne. They are members and service a lot of club cars. You can call them on 4732 2444.

It is a bit of a cruise from the Northern Beaches but it maybe worth it for you...

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all your advice. I rang Tilleys and spoke with Jason on Monday and I am dropping the car off to them tomorrow (Wednesday) so I will let you know how I go Dave.

Is anyone going to the all American day at Narrabeen on Sunday? I will be there from 10 till 2. My rego is the same as my user ID (PONYGT). I have a Nightmist 66 GT K Code Fastback.

Hope to see some of you guys out there.

Thanks again for your help everyone.

Regards Justin.:(

Hi Guys,

It all went well or should I say exeptionally well. Jason and Brad really know their stuff. They have transformed my car. It is going better than ever. They rebuilt the carby and it is so much more powerful. The secondaries werent working at all and there was allot of crap in there. Thanks so much Dave (Echo) for recommending them. I would recommend them to anyone.
They will have all my work on both my stang and my supercharged Lexus. They had a look at the Lexus and think they can improve things their too.
Very happy:a:a:a:a
