Transmission part suppliers/ workshops
« on: November 20, 2018, 07:28:23 pm »
Hi guys, so my 66 c4  green dot cruise o metic has sprung a leak at the pump to housing area, ( no it’s not the tc shaft seal), so it’s looks like I’m chasing the square section pump case  oring but not after a full rebuild kit, before I order a seal from the US  can anyone recommend a transmission place in Australia who should carry just this seal and knows their early ford boxes-, precision, rocket and eagle had no luck,
Cheers

Is this what you're after?

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HUGHES-FORD-C4-FRONT-PUMP-SEAL-HT47526/172290805960?hash=item281d5510c8:g:198AAOSwvFhbyT8y:rk:1:pf:0

Rocket also have them and are closer to you but as usual don't disclose pricing on their website. I would expect they'll be more expensive than Outlaw.

Hi Geoff, no the tc shaft to pump seal is not leaking, it’s the large oring pump body to case housing seal, I it looks like I found one locally, they are on eBay from the US but postage is killer

How much do they want for postage?

Shaunp should know someone in oz that will sell you one.

Do you need the bushing also?

Here's a complete pump seal kit.

I could get any of these and it shouldn't cost more than around $10.00 usd to ship it to you.
