transmission hesitates

i have a 2016 mustang and when i reverse and then put it into drive and imediately try
to take off it heitates but if i wait about 2 sec it takes off straight away .does anyone
have the same thing happen or is this normal

It is normal. Your transmission is computer controlled and it can take a while till all parameters match up with engine management.
If you don't have the patience build a '69 with a blown injected 429, C6 with transbrake, 5000 stall converter and you will have instant accelaration.....
