Recommendations for Transmission work - Sutherland area
« on: December 14, 2017, 05:49:54 pm »
Hi Guys, I am running an FMX and since I have had the engine/transmission in and out 1/2 a dozen times during my conversion I suspect I have disturbed something. Dirt or sediment.
It takes a few seconds going into Drive and Reverse, makes some strange wurring noises and just as I touched 160 it kicked back to second. Not optimal.
I am looking for some recommendations on a place that would be good with FMXs and is close to Sutherland/Engadine.
Thanks, Mal.

Are you using the correct transmission fluid? By memory FMX uses Ford specific fluid.....I could be wrong but I am sure someone else on here will confirm.

I can't recall which fluid I used as I bought it 6 months ago. I know I did some research before I bought it and Supercheap had to order it in. Not that this means anything.
