Windows down????
« on: November 02, 2017, 07:42:41 am »
Hi all,

Anyone walked up to their car after coming back from the shops and found the windows down??? This has happened to me twice now since I got my car in June. I thought maybe it's a button on the remote but there is no 'window' button. Any help would be appreciated.

Obviously not a good feeling to see your car sitting with the windows down. Not to mention if it was raining the damage that would happen.

Thanks !

Never had that issue, and this is the first I have heard of it. I would be making a b-line to the dealer.....

I did happen to me once and I shit myself . I did work out why it happened but can't remember what it was .  I think someone else posted about this a while back . Maybe get onto the S550 mustang Facebook site and ask the question but I think you have have to join . I can ask the question for you if you want .

Try turning off the global open feature on your side windows.
Might be getting a signal from somewhere to open them.
Global open operates when you push the open button once then push it again and hold until windows start opening.
Can be turned off in vehicle menu.

Easy to bump the button especially when in your pocket, this will trigger the windows going down.

With my wife's Toureg , if you hold the unlock button down for 2 or 3 seconds all the windows go down. Maybe something similar on the s550 and you accidently put pressure on it in your pocket.

I think if you press the unlock button and then hold the unlock button the windows all go down

Well I just went to my car and both windows are down  :thud:  . I couldn't make them go down last night by pressing the remote ,but it must be the remote that did it ,but later on  it must be hitting the unlock button a few times .
