Hay Guys,

Full of q's today :P...

Ok so its my first time and i am importning a LHD 67 GTA to Tasmania and the port of deliver will be Melbourne.....

was wondering if i need to convert it to RHD and other mods i may need to do....also costs associated with its import (aside from shipping)

No need to convert as over 30 years old....u will pay 10% GST once it arrives.  But yes shop around for importers as their charges very far and wide and make sure everything is "put on the table" before you commit.  Mustangs of Melbourne are reputable and no doubt other members on here have some good stories to tell, and bad!

There is a lot involved with the customs and quarantine process. i suggest paying a customs broker to do it, or using a shipping company that will provide the services. it will cost you a little more but if you have a life, its worth it!

i have decided to take my cars through customs myself for the first time and its complicated and time consuming.
