Took 14 months for me. I believe that's close to the average wait.

Ford USA supposedly released an additional 2000 cars for Australia, wait times I've been told have reduced from the 14 months we waited for ours, down to 10-12 months, but I can tell you it's well worth the wait.

If you look at the Australian sales figures this year they are selling an average of 500 a month or 6000 a year.. which is on par with ford australias allowance .. id still think at least 12 months wait

I believe the wait time is dependent on a few variants within your order i.e. Body style, engine type, colour, how many of these have been ordered through your dealer etc......
Have now converted the other half into doing some of the Concours washin, cleaning & polishing stuff!!!!!!!!

Picking mine up tomorrow. Bought it privately in the colour and wheels that I wanted. 5.0 GT Auto. Seller was after $72.5k but I managed to get it for $64k. Has a couple thousand ks and 5 months old. Happy with that!

What is the list price if you ordered the same car and waited?

Give it another few months & there will be a few popping up on the second hand market. Still plenty of new turbo 4's around going for the right price. I test drove one a few weeks ago & was seriously impressed with the performance & handling & came awfully close to buying it except you can't seat anyone in the back seat. Ford really stuffed that up. But for 50k, I would still rather buy an early fastback.

Was reading in the paper today that delivery times for the new Mustang might be slashed in half ......Apparently the they are catching up with LHD production , so they might push through a few more RHD versions ... :evilone:

Base price is $67,500, then add the wheels and paint package mine has and it's closer to $69k.

Yes it's got a couple thousand ks, but I decided to buy it last week, did the deal on Monday and pick it up today!

Sounds like a good deal! whats a couple of thousand klms in the life of the car.
As long as it doesn't have a brand new set of tyres on the rear LOL  :burnout:

I feel like the quote you got was significantly inflated!

I ordered mine in September. Wanted to get a new one because I want to be the only owner - ever.

Lightning Blue Manual GT Fastback. All the quotes I got were around the $64k mark. I negotiated to sub $62k drive away.

The Ford MSRP is around $62k drive away for a base model (non-premium paint with manual transmission)
Add $2.5k for auto if applicable
Add $500 for wheels
Add $500 for premium paint
$65.5k should be the comparison.

Nobody should be paying $69k for a newly ordered pony unless the dealer is offering a LOT of extras.

Definitely agree you got a good deal though as the asking price for a lot of these is $69k+ on-roads!

The car looks amazing btw :D
