New Mustang Owner 1966 fastback
« on: August 30, 2016, 10:52:29 am »
Hi All, I purchased my first Mustang on Sunday.
Its a 1966 4 speed LHD fastback.
All I can say is a big thank you to all the members of this site that helped with advice, comments and also the sale of this Mustang.
I drove it 450 klm yesterday and it didn't miss a beat on the way home.
Mind you must have passed a least 15 police cars and not one batted an eyelid that it did not have plates on it, some even gave the thumbs up!

Very cool car.
I pick my stang up from Port Botany in February. Got about 5 kms before I got pulled over. I had a temporary rego so all was good. He too was more intersted in the car.

Thanks to all for the kind comments, looking forward to getting it registered in the next week, should fly through the road worthy, you could eat your breakfast  from the floor pan.  Have been reading the history file that is about 200 pages long, i certainly can not see any issues that should arise, basically a brand new car and it drives like one to, very tight, no rattles or squeaks and everything works electrically and mechanically.
Very Happy with my purchase and look forward to catching up with some of you along the journey.

Hi Dave.  There is tentatively planned a Vic and NSW catchup over the weekend of November 5th and 6th in Albury/Wodonga. So maybe we'll see you then.

In the meantime enjoy.
Shane

Just wait until you can start doing the school runs in it, your kids will be so proud.
What a great looking car, has a real presence about it.
