Sad sad news!
Not the friendliest guy on his TV show however still a master builder of hot rods! Taught the great Chip Foose he did!

'Tis a great shame.  He did build some great cars.

Though I think you will find that Chip Foose was always the greater talent, and even showed Boyd how it was done given that he pulled Boyds business out of the mud years back.  Master did not appreciate apprentice.

It's a shame that Boyd and Chip never settled their differences.
I am a big fan of American Hot Rod and Overhaulin'
I always thought that Boyd was a tough old b. but he did things his way and produced some fantastic cars over a long period of time.
