When I was a teenager (the 80's) I worked in a wrecking yard on weekends. Often the owner would buy a brand new car off the showroom floor and we would strip it down for parts. I think at the time the car cost around $23k, and in parts was worth $75k if you sold them all.

Using that as a guide, maybe you could assemble a new Mustang from parts for something like $200k

interesting story, what type of cars did he do this with? and was he left with a lot of leftover parts? did he lose out anytime?

It was a Mazda Wrecking yard in Granville. We would often get TX5's and, trying to think of the other Ford that was a rebadged Mazda at the time......um, Telstar? Plus genuine car accident wrecks, cars bought at auction, etc.

In terms of profit, I was 17, covered in grease and muck, showering required Solvoling your entire body (think about it) and was far more interested in getting to the club and meeting girls. But I think when a business is operating and making a certain cash flow, you can sit on some stock waiting for someone to need it (Rocker Covers), whilst keeping the cash going with the parts that ALWAYS seem to be in need (tail light assemblies).......

Does changing the wheel have any effect on Warranty? Dealer thought it might effect air bag or other items on the wheel warranty.

shouldn't affect warranty as I am using original air bag, but I'll ask the question to be sure !

Spoke to my dealer (GT convertible due August 2017) about the 350 steering wheel.  He said he wanted one / some so he did a bulk purchase out of the US so got a good price and I pay my part of the freight.  He will fit as part of delivery.  Even got the version with red trim to (almost) match my Ruby Red car.

All I have read and all I have spoken to about the 350 wheel are highly positive (i.e. should be standard).

Cheers

Where to purchase and what are the prices for the GT350R steering wheels? Mustang Motorsport has them for $750 plus $37 shipping to Sydney but on ebay from around $650 and possible duties?

Thanks for that, ebay has some for around $500 from the states, so will probably just have to wait for delivery from US for that price

Has any body had any feed back on warranty and getting it installed in Sydney? Heartland ford Chullora just said it was impossible to fit.Thompson Ford Parramatta will fit them but said it will void any warranty with items on the steering wheel and approx $180 to fit,
