Hi All !!
My wife and I are going to the US in September and as we are both Mustang fans and Ford fans in general we would like to hear from all other Ford & Mustang enthusiasts that have visited the US, on good places to go and see Ford or Mustang things, of all types?? We will be there for 6 weeks and will be travelling by car, plane and train, maybe even a bus or two!!
So if anyone out there can give us some good ideas on places or things to see that would be great...

Cheers  :a

Hi Scott
We went on a family holiday last September to the USA. Had a great time. Cant wait to go again so much to see.
While we were in Las Vegas we went to Shelby Automobiles & the Las Vegas Speedway also worth a look in vegas was a museum at one of the Casino's on the Strip.
If your down Long Beach way make sure you drop into Foose designs. The day we went Chip was there, top bloke, had a good chat about Oz. He was keen to come visit one day.
Also just dropin into ford dealers you get to see a great range of new Mustangs. Roush, Salleens, Shelby's etc & the prices will make you cry.
Dont plan on seeing to many old Mustangs, I think in 4 weeks we saw about 5. They must be in hiding or we were just looking in the wrong places.

Scott,
Make sure you go to the Grand Canyon if you get a chance, absolutely mind blowing.  Hire a car and drive for a few weeks and check all the back towns out as they are amazing.  I hope you enjoy it.

Things that are a must in the US,
Ceder Point - Roller Coasters man, WOW
Bryce canyon, I thought was better then Grand
Las Vagas - Go in November not September THE SEMA SHOW
This is one of the biggest Muscle car shows in the US I LOVE IT
Colorado Rockies - Snake river
New York is Crazy - Good fun
Yellowstone -  should have grown back from the fires

Depends on what you enjoy. The US has it all. With an American mother I have been there about 15 times and lived there for a year on '97

Enjoy your trip

Hey Scott,

I'm envious ... I did the trip in May last year. Hired a 07 Mustang Convertible in LA and cruised up/down Highway 1 for 4 days before driving to Vegas. Flew to Grand Canyon (40 min flight from Vegas - met at GC Airport by bus for a ground tour) a bit more expensive but you see heaps more and save a days driving)

There is more to see on the Highways rather than the Interstaters unless you are running out of time!

Visit NPD in Ventura - thousands of Mustang parts - about an hour noth of LA - has a great Marina there as well.
