Have you been playing in the nav settings? Maybe you've switched something on and not realised it.

Possibly go back into settings and have a look around.

Cheers

Jason, the best way is to zoom in and see what's there when you pass by.  I'd bet it a servo or something like that.
Those answers are pretty funny though..

The only settings I recall playing with is the VIEW button, and also the one that changes the route calc guidelines about fastest, most economical, shortest, etc.

But it is something I am going to have a squiz at this evening.

That's a car park where I work - but the dots are all over the place - mostly along roads and seemingly at specific intervals. I have tried stopping at a few and trying to see if there was anything similar - many of the dots are less than a hundred meters apart - I even thought they could be telegraph poles at one point. But no....

hmm, mostly along roads, seems at set intervals, less than 100 meters apart...

What suburb are you in, I wouldnt let your wife know you tried stopping at a few to see how similar they were

Now what suburb were you driving through again, sounds like Kings Cross on a Friday night  :bolt:

If you were in Adelaide, they were probably roadworks or speed cameras.

By any chance have you sneezed in the car recently?

When you see them you're supposed to drive over them yelling waka waka waka till you see someone in a coloured balaclava then chase them ... but run the other way if you hear sirens:

Clubman7 and Goff both come up with the correct answer, Breadcrumbs.

JasonK wins the prize for most incorrect rejection of the correct answer.

According to Mrs JasonK both the Dwayne and StephenSLR win bragging right for funniest reply (Adelaide, she grew up there and it is so damn close to reality it is not funny) and the joystick comment from StrphenSLR.

Seems to be breadcrumbs, but because I am very often driving 'out and back' along the same routes, I am seeing these things almost all the time. Thanks for your help and the hilarious comments!

Am curious as to why they're not on the road; have you been doing a bit of bush bashing when the missus isn't around?

Bush bashing as in, taking the car for spins on a bit of land.  lol

I still haven't worked that out. The dots mostly are on the roads, but the Red Arrow (Or Galaga Spaceship?) is in the car park at work, with the other dots looking much like they would be inside some of the buildings in this complex.....

Is the arrow always pointing North?

You can set the map to align with north, which makes the arrow sit at various angles depending on your heading, but I find that annoying, so mine is set such that the arrow always points up (to the front of the car) and the map adjusts its alignment as you drive along.

So I am not the only one who has people taking photo's of their car every other day when I park it and go into the local take away to get some lunch? On alternate days it would seem the paparazzi are replaced by people who want to ask you questions about the car. None of that annoys me, it's just taking a while to get used to.

Like some of us have with our classics? My 66 still attracts attention, the S550 attracts the school boys who obviously know their cars, one boy was rolling his arms, my girlfriend sitting in the pax seat asked me what he was doing?.....obviously he wanted a burnout!

Yeah I was waiting to turn left at the traffic lights the other day and had my window down. A guy on the footpath approached me (LHD car) and said "excuse me, but what year is your car?"
"68" I replied.
"Ha, my mate owes me a beer" he said. "By the way, love your car".
What he didn't know was that I was just delivering the car to it's new owner. I think I'll miss the attention.
