« on: April 28, 2016, 06:49:23 am »

Am looking at purchasing a front bumper for my 65 and ave heard some nightmares stories of poorly made front bumpers. What is everyones experience?
Cheers

No mater which brand you buy they can be good or average .  When I buy bars I get the shop to open the box so I can have a look 1st .  Sometimes you can see marks under the chrome ,grind marks etc .

I once bought a Dynacorn one for my 66 coupe I used to have and it was an inch and a half longer in length than the old one I took off. When offered up to the car the gap between the guard and the bumper was crazy, I ended up re chroming my original.  :ouch:

Just fitted a Scott Drake front bumper to my 66.
Fitting was a bit of pain as brackets were reproduction and not quite right.
Bar was nice quality though.
Nice chrome and general finish compared to old bar which was another Taiwanese Repro.
Hours of fun lining it up.
