Any paint shop recommendations?
« on: January 27, 2016, 03:33:00 pm »
Hey guys! Long time loiterer, but first time poster here. I've owned my fastback for 9 years which I use as a daily driver. Time has finally come to give her some TLC and freshen up the paint. Can anyone recommend any good panel beaters/paint shops familiar with mustangs? I'm Brisbane based, but happy to travel. Also, has anyone had a full paint job priced recently? Thanks in advance...

I had my car done by 60s Rust Restorations approx 4 maybe 5 years ago and have been very happy.
I also had an incident that required a new hood (I fitted a shaker this time round) and had it back there for them to replace that as well just under 12 months ago.
I no there are others that have had their Mustangs done there as well.
I have no problems recommending them nut as most panel shops if they quote 3 week job expect it to be 6 weeks.

If you want to have a look at my car you can PM me and I will give you my No.
Cheers Rodney

Thanks for the recommendation Rodney! Their website looks good. I'll give Hughie a call and take a run over there to check out his workshop. Good to see they have a full rotisserie set up. I'm thinking of going the whole hog with mine & stripping her right back. I just hope I don't find any nasty expensive surprises.....
