This might clear it up I told my friend if enquire

Has anyone w204 c63 owners ever noticed that the very bottom of their doors from back to front are bit ripply and or dented ? Same exact finish on other side door also.

Get down low and look along bottom doors all the way along above side skirts..

Was this the factory way??

whilst this being a random post,I might add that my son now on his Ls says that modern cars when looking at the fuel gauge will indicate with either an arrow or a picture of the fuel pump on the side that the fuel cap is on with that particular vehicle, so when your in an unfamiliar car you know what side of the pump to pull up, was a great theory until I showed him the back of the Muzzy LOL!    OK I need a coffee now   :smile01:

doors are made in a mold . . they would not be ripply and dented looking from the factory, especially a mercedes door

Barnett, I think he is talking about the door shell not the skin and I have no experience with Mercedes-Benz but I have seen a lot of late model cars that the door shells look like what  he is describing.

I was told the side the hose is on the bowser in the gauge pic is supposed to be the side the filler neck is, it works for most cars but there are a few that don't follow this convention.

was a great theory until I showed him the back of the Muzzy LOL!
Don't laugh, on a couple of occasions in my Torana I've had to walk in and tell the attendant that my filler was on the back; they had thought I was filling a drum on the ground and wouldn't switch on the bowser.

I have a C200 sedan built in 2008, no issue with what's been discussed here but I DO have an issue with the film lifting off upper door and roof strips, very, very annoying. Spoke to a Benz panel beater shop who said most likely using a drive through wash station or else living right on the seaside. WRONG ON BOTH COUNTS. Love to drive it but the peeling film gives me the s---s. No such issues with a 67 Mustang.
I dont suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

It's a W204 C250 CDI, 2/14 build. Just went out to the garage and had a close look and still can't see anything that looks like a dent or ripple as you describe. Fuel filler is where the dashboard says it is. Just as well as its so fuel efficient I generally forget where it is between fills.

Dusted down and covered up the other garage occupant while I was out there after a day at the MOCA Vic Round Up. Great day!

A C63 is a different deal . . It's not a real Mercedes.

Mercedes developed the C class for people that wanted a Mercedes but could only afford half of one.

Nope, sure haven't, nor would I even care to be seen in a car that looked like "that"...especially since the bottom of their doors are wrinkled.  :lmao:
