VW Amarok utes have 8 speed Auto's now and 2 turbos, go figure. My new Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 dual cab has a 6 speed auto, the box is brilliant its always in the right gear  it follows you down when braking, to compression brake etc, always in the right gear when you get on the throttle so there is no turbo lag it keeps the engine right in the torque band, worth every cent of the $2500 option, the 6 speed manual was terrible . So its getting pasted down to work utes now. Ill never buy another manual again as a drive car/4x4.
