WHAT TOOL DO I NEED
« on: July 19, 2015, 11:49:22 am »
I have a 2001 Mustang Cobra. What tool is needed to adjust the door striker? Its a star shape tool. I have some but no where near the size and shape. What are they called and what size?

My neighbour had the Torx bits. Tried T35 T40 an one was too big and other too small. Is there metric and imperial in these I have googled and no help yet.

Need a higher res picture to be sure but it looks more like a Polydrive or even Allen (hex) key head rather than Torx, unless the lobes of the Torx fitting have been worn away...

Stupid question, but you have tried Allen keys haven't you?

Yes tried allen keys. That's the closest pic I can get. Trial and error I think..

The link below refers to these as Torx head screws in the description so that part appears to be verified, now you just need the size

Bunnings have a good exchange/refund policy so return them for the right size if they don't fit.
