"Overdrive off" light not working - 95 Mustang GT

So driving along last night with my "O/D Off" light on the dashboard illuminated. I press the O/D button next to the T-bar to turn O/D on again and that worked fine. Some moments later I went to turn it off again and nothing. No light on the dashboard so I'm not sure if the O/D is working or if it's just a loose/broken wire or blown bulb.

Any ideas please???

Watch the rev-counter in top gear  - drive along, switch it on/off at 80-100kmph, if the revs changes then the O/D is working...
