MOCA NSW head south of the border
« on: September 05, 2014, 06:37:14 pm »
Mid last week about 20 or so mustangs, a Falcon GT Cobra and a F100 fully loaded headed south leaving what was wet and drizzly weather behind.
Stops along the way for fuel and food that included Yass ,Holbrook and a overnight stopover at Albury made for a comfortable cruise in convoy most enjoyable. The Commercial Club at Albury is the place to go for excellent food and entertainment and very good value  :thumb:
A couple of more stops on the way to Melbourne including Glenrowan and Seymour and finally The Best Western Motel near Tullamarine Airport being home for the next 4 nights. The staff and facilities there were second to none right from the very modern rooms ,arranged `Mustang` parking and fantastic catering options including a magnificent dinner on the Saturday night that was enjoyed by all.
A couple of Police checks for two Mustangs including `number plate Authenticity 'and a `photo shoot ` opportunity for another made for some good stories with thankfully no one actually breaking the law!
Again thanks to Big Al for the opportunity to take part in what was a most enjoyable trip.

Some photos to enjoy

Cheers
Matt

And Big Al's beast on the back of a tow truck! Break down or too scared to drive it all the way to Melbourne?

Yeah Dave, i doubt the little 260cu in his mustang had the grunt to haul it all the way to Melbourne, I keep telling Al to put a stroker motor in it, so it goes as fast as it looks.

He will be working on my car tomorrow, so I hope he doesn't read this till Monday  :lmao:

Cheers
Keith

Rumour has it, Matt and Showbags were seen turning in each night at 8.30pm, arm in arm, not sure if it was due to the long drive down in the convertible together.

Actually it was holding each other up and staggering up the decent hill back to the motel after leaving the Westmeadows Tavern after several hours of post day celebrations

Love is in the air!
That is not what several NSW and Victorian MOCA members got to see as you drove out of Mustang Motorsport. I heard there was quite a bit of spooning going on after that walk up the  hill that you are referring to Matt!

Hey guys, be nice! What happens on tour stays on tour. Isn't that the creed?

But I have noticed the bromance blossoming between you and showbags Matt - not that there's anything wrong with that.
