Hi Phil,

Thanks for your reply..Its the vertical one...slowly slowly i have managed to massage the dents out and its looking great...now i am slowly polishing it up...
I will reuse the one i have...I didn't think i could achieve this result...

It's amazing how well dents can be removed from stainless mouldings.  I recall an episode of Classic Restos where a mangled strip was beat into shape, polished and came up perfect.

Here's some other clips showing how:

I recall; be careful with the buffer, wear gloves and use plenty of lube, lol.

You don't want it overheating; warping or damaging the finish and you have to be careful of the trim flying out of your hands; it'll effectively become a spear.

I can't find the clip from Classic Restos but the guy is Alan McCoy; now retired.

Here's a clip from another show, pretty much the same as above; this guy uses wood to back up the trim.

Thanks for the videos Stephen. I saw some on YouTube and decided to tackle it myself. Even though I was hesitant. Slowly I achieved a great result. It's amazing what a file and different grades of sandpaper can do. I'll post the pics up later on tonight after work.

Ang1965 attack it yourself. It wasn't that hard just time consuming of course with the right tools. It's taken me around 7 hours of massaging, filing, sanding and polishing.

From the photo I can't see where it was dented.
