I may not have posted the link correctly, but if you look on carsales, Queensland, there is a restored 1969 black 428 Mach 1 for sale in Buderim, Sunshine Coast.
I believe it may be owned by an elderly doctor. Good luck with your purchase.

What a sexy car. Exactly the colour combo I plan to do with my 428.

Well, depends on what you're looking for. It was originally a SCJ, but seems to have had everything about the engine changed, but some questions exist about what they've been changed to. For instance, how has it been cross-bolted? There are only 3 cross-bolted blocks - 406, 427 and some rare 428 passenger car blocks, but they're independently identifiable. Would want more detail otherwise it's just a wasted opportunity - that car would be worth the asking price if the original SCJ motor was in it.  Where's the Dyno test showing the motor output??

That's the spirit. Don't give up that easily. I think the owner is genuine and has a few mustangs from what I've heard. Buderim is a good place to check out brakes, steering and handling.

Very, very nice car - no question, but I don't think it's worth that money.

It's not as correct as it should be for those types of asking prices, so unless it's
- a minimum of $20K-$30K cheaper
- or a SCJ car
- original panels, interior and ultra low mileage
- had the correct radiator and distributor
- proof (or a claim) that it had all other parts correct (date coded carb, starter, engine, SMOG, P/S pump etc etc)  then it wouldn't be on my value-based radar.

AS I said, beautiful car, but there's a reason it hasn't sold.
