will a 1966 diff bolt into a 1969 fastback?
« on: April 20, 2014, 03:37:34 pm »
hello
im wondering if the spring saddle width on a 1969 is the same as a 1966
I think the diff overall length is wider on a '69 but if the spring saddle width is the same
then it would bolt in?

You'd need custom wheels due to the crazy -ve offset you'd need.

You will need to use the 65-66 saddles and U bolts also.

As said above ,they just bolt in .But remember they are 2 inches narrower 57 1/4 inches compared to 59 1/4 inches ,so your wheels will need a nice outside dish .

Got a Versailles 9" disc rear here would be a closer fit I think.
