Engine number location for 4.6 L SN-95

Fellas,
Trying to find the location of the engine number on a 97 model 4.6L GT, is currently registered in NSW, just can't find the location for ACT rego inspection, any ideas.

Unless it's been previously registered in Australia, it wont have one.

If it has been registered before, it could be anywhere....

It could be anywhere then.  Whats on the NSW rego papers?

When I had my NA DOHC 4.6 pulled, it was stamped into the block on the passenger side just above the bottom rail where the sump bolted on. I had the engine number for the VIN of the car that the replacement S/C DOHC motor came from stamped onto a pad on the drivers side of the block at the bottom - only visible from underneath.

Thanks Fellas,
As jiff mention...located underneath back of block adjacent to sump housing. We do enjoy driving our new toy and learning about the car itself, just now trying to sort little things like trim clips, and work out LED globes for the rear lights...well actually all of them.

Passed Rego, new plates, now its time to drive it....
