66 coupe
« on: December 05, 2013, 08:30:05 am »
Gday guys, i recently got given my old mans 66 stang after loosing my mk2 escort due to a drunk driver running a red light... anyway its in pretty good shape, i firstly just intend on giving the engine bay a clean up.

A quick run down on the car, red 66 coupe, originally turquoise, its had a 383 stroker clevo squeezed in the engine bay, 4speed toploader, 9inch rear with a Detroit locker, apart from the mechanical"s dads kept it looking fairly original.

Once Im on my feet again, which isn't too long, ill get stuck into playing round with it, ive been busy buying a couple bits and pieces, gilmer belt drive, polished export brace, and polished monte carlo bar.

Here's some pictures

Nice Mustang Bryce, enjoy. I think I may have seen pictures of your car after it was totalled (on the way home from a car show?). If it's the same one, you're a very lucky young bloke to have survived that crash. Shame about your Escort but good to see you got straight back into the hobby. Good luck in your recovery.

gday guys, been doing a little bit to the stang! bought i new petrol tank and painted it up, and fitted it, with a new stainless steal fuel sender, followed by a new battery, a good clean, polish and wax.
Heres a recent picture, still lots of things to do though

hey guys, long time since ive been on here with some new pics! Recently been getting to a few shows, and also giving the stang some new bits, firstly lowered the back another 1 1/2 inches and got the exhaust finished to the rear.
But I have had a bit of a problem over the weekend as ive lost my indicators all together, whats the common problem with these if there is one, just so i could check out what may be causing them to not work?
cheers

Check the fuse , then check the flasher cam .  Turn the hazard lights on if it has them to see if they are all working .  Swap the hazard lights flasher cam over with the blinkers to see if that fixes the problem. If it is the flasher cam buy the dearer one its only a few dollars more . Any auto spares sell them .
