battery fitment
« on: October 05, 2013, 06:55:09 pm »
hi again I have bought a new radiator for my 66 its a custom 4 core ,  (26 inch)                          I have to make up a couple of brackets to fit it in but that isn't the issue .
the issue is the radiator is wider than normal so I have to remove my battery plate to fit the
radiator in . I want to know show I  fit it in the boot , but my concern is when I will take the car to get it registered is it going to be an issue, my mate told me to fit a 67 battery tray cause there on a different angle can this be done.........  :smile01:

Maybe you should leave the old radiator in the car till after you have the car registered, then move the battery to the boot area.

Yeah.  I fitted a race radiators 600 ... Just put a 67 battery tray which turns the battery to the side.  May just have to extend you positive or negative battery cable.  But try what you got first.  Tray is only about $30 from memory.
