hi there guys, I bumped into this guy yesterday and he has got a c4 for sale ,
but the c4 is to suit a Cleveland . he told me that it will bolt up to a Windsor block , he said the bolt pattern is the same ,but he advised me to use a Windsor sandwich plate cause the windor ring gear is smaller than clevo...... I don't know im absolutely baffled. im not that advanced on mechanical side of things.......

so any help would be appreciated

yeah thats correct bolt pattern is the same bell housing size is bigger, not sure how they go tunnel clearance tho in the muzzy also it is a pan fill dipstick instead of a case fill for a windsor box.

if it is a Cleveland then you need to use a Cleveland sandwich plate and a Cleveland 164 tooth flexplate and beware of the balance issue

I have a cleveland c4 on my 65 coupe with 351W. Not sure how the fit up went with the trans tunnel as it was installed in my car when I got it but dipstick selection will be an issue due to exhaust clearance. Mine came with a "custom" made one where the tube was shortened just before it fits to the pan and then welded together.
