Can anyone advise me on antitheft devices or equipment which would suit a a code 66 coupe

Depends on your budget and where you'll be parking the car. An old trusty kill switch is probably the cheapest and best device. Alarms with immobilizers are good, as long as it's fitted properly. Some people remove the ignition lead or distributor, this is great as long as the theif doesn't carry a spare.
Why be standard, when custom is so much more fun!!!
