Today I pulled off a tired and well beaten up 600cfm Holley, has been on the car for over twenty five years. It looks like it has been in the ring with Mike Tyson.Put on a new 650 spreadbore double pumper and black and gold is now running sweet. No more soot, good grunt down low.Happy owner. Will check fuel figures on Tuesday's shake down

Now runs well a bit of tweaking will make all the difference, pulls out to 4700 no worries. And doesn't burn fuel in litre's per kilometer.

I ran a 600 cfm Holley on my 289 and managed to get just under 400 klms out of my 65 per tank on the open road.
It did manage a 15.1  quarter at 94 mph.
Some would consider that slow but most would have to say it was the balance between road and track car.

Hey thanks for the reply, most don't get a look in.I m totally in love with the car I am 52 years old and have waited 25 years to buy another one.In the Pony Express many years ago they said better to have owned an sold than to never have owned at all.Thats how I live my life.Car runs so hard, need to get the pipes off the gearbox crossmember.Crazy Mexican exhaust fitters can't hear anything inside the cockpit
