Hi

Looking for someone with a car trailer who would be willing to take a car from North Melbourne 3hrs North West of Victoria?

I've got a ute, but no tow bar and can't see it worth it to purchase for one journey.

Have a look on Evilbay or Gumtree.
My son has moved back from Cairns to Brisbane and we bought a factory towbar for his 2002 statesman off Evilbay from a wrecker in Melbourne for $126.00 delivered, complete with plug in wiring loom, tongue and all bolts.
I doubt if you would get a 3 hour tow and return trip for that!

And dont forget all the new friends you will have when you own a ute WITH a towbar

Cheers, ha ha, yeah more friends than I've already got since buying the ute. I should install a meter.

You should see how many "friends" I have owning an F-truck plus a car trailer! They don't like the word NO for some reason and then I don't hear from them again? 

What kind of ute have you got? If it is a Falcon I've got a near new AU/BA/BF tray back Hayman Reece 2300kg bar to sell.

I don't think you can tow a car trailer with a Ute any longer.

I think they changed the rules a few years ago.
Must be weight for weight

Its times like this I wish I hadn't sold my Patrol this year , and woulda done it for free, the only thing i'd accept is some fuel.
These kind a scenarios are what I miss about the better life we had 20 years ago, helpin each other out was a given and not a tall ask.
