The Registration Form for the 2014 Mustang Nationals in Geelong Victoria is now available for download at  http://vic.mustang.org.au/

FORD AUSTRALIA OPENS YOU YANGS PROVING GROUND TO MOCA

In what is to be considered a coup for MOCA Vic, Ford Australia has agreed to open their top secret test facility at the You Yangs to participants in next year’s 50th Anniversary Mustang & Shelby Nationals on Saturday 19th April 2014.

The visit will be part of the celebrations marking the 50th  Anniversary of the iconic pony car which we all love.
The You Yangs proving ground has seen the development of Falcon and other models for more than half a century and has only been open to car club members once previously.
The 75th Anniversary of Ford Australia. I can tell you, it’s a day out not to be missed.

Ford Australia staff will conduct tours of the development facilities, your club will provide a free BBQ lunch, tea, coffee & soft drinks and you will have the opportunity to drive your Mustang, in convoy, around the banked oval test track (strictly limited to 80kmh).

As you know, Ford Australia will cease production of vehicles in Australia in 2016 and this will be your only chance to visit this facility. Ever.
Registration Form available here http://vic.mustang.org.au/coming-events.html

Nationals Accommodation is almost full now, limited rooms are still available so if you wish to take part in the 50th Anniversary don't delay. Get your registrations in as soon as possible. Evening functions are also nearing capacity, particularly the Saturday night Psychedelic Sixties Party.

You Yangs ballot entries are also coming in thick and fast. Don't forget strict conditions apply to the You Yangs event and you must be either staying at the official accommodation or attending the evening functions to be eligible to enter the ballot.
If you are lucky enough to be successful in the ballot and will be attending the You Yangs you will be issued with credentials which will enable you to pass through security. All occupants of vehicles will be required to show credentials at the gate. Those without the correct accreditation will be refused entry.
See the 2014 Mustang & Shelby Nationals Facebook page for full details.

Hello. What are the arrangements for car parking at the Mercure? Are the cars going to be relatively secure? Am thinking of coming along for my first time to the Nationals with the 69 S Code.

The Nationals Registration form used to have a 2nd page of event details (Which included parking info):

http://vic.mustang.org.au/images/forms/2014%20MUSTANG%20NATIONALS%20REGISTRATION%20FORM.pdf

But for some reason, the 2nd page no longer appears.

I'll chase this up for you as to why it's no longer there but in the interim please call Peter and Lorriane Richardson to obtain all the information you require.

Just to re-iterate, anyone going to the Youyangs you CANNOT take cameras and no photography is allowed in the venue. There will be official photographers on hand and these will be the only photos allowed to be taken. Anyone caught taking photos will be ejected by Ford.

Also only authorised entrants will be allowed in the venue and you MUST be in a mustang. No foot traffic or any other vehicles will be admitted to the venue.

Please contact Pete and Loz if you have any queries regarding this event.

Can anyone tell me if we (as non-MOCA members) can put our car in the show'n'shine as the website and entry sheet don't have much information along those lines.

Keep an eye out for the Mustang show bags being sold at the show, they'll be full of Mustang goodies and good value.

All entrants should have received an email for Lorraine regarding registration, event schedule and judging requirements.

I believe that entries for judging are now closed, although non entrants will be able to park in the official area on Sunday as long as they are there prior to 9:30 am (and there is still space available) when the gates will be closed. This is a requirement imposed on the Club.

If you have not yet received the email, contact Lorraine.

Unfortunately Non-MOCA Members are unable to entry all judged classes.
