Also gave it a good clean (2 weeks at the mechanic) getting ready or her first show this weekend at the All Fords Day in Newcastle!

Raven, I'd like to see the work of art when its finished, getting pipes through there..

Macka

Rang the exhaust shop today to see how they were going. The guys mentioned they have tacked it all together and it fits ok. They just need to remove it, weld everything off and reinstall. Should be ready to pick up tomorrow. I will post some more pics.

Cheers
Raven

Would love to see this be installed and what you think of it afterwards.  :thumb:

That'd be awesome. I'd love to use the MSD Atomic but it'll be great to hear your feedback on the Fast.

Yep, just got back from the servo myself. Filled the car with 98 Vortex, gave it a shot of Nulon lead replacement, did the tyres, checked the oil and water; ready for the 2 hour run down to Picton for BossKrafts' Cars & Coffee. Early start - leaving at 4:10 am (the neighbours are going to love that) - first long drive in the '68 coupe so looking forward to it. Meeting up with the guys at Uncle Leos at 5:30am and then heading down to Picton.  :thumb:

Had a slightly annoying rattle in my shifter, so decided to take it apart. Needed a rebuild kit. All done. Just need to fit the console and seat back in.

Got a mate to have a look at the heater with me (because electronic systems don't like me)..
We had a look at the wiring diagrams, tested the system's wiring and confirmed that it is the fan that is broken!

Which means, as I suspected, the last job before rego is going to be an expensive one and a tricky one... :ouch:
Why oh why could it not have been a switch, wire or fuse instead!? :tissue:

Well,
Fitted the T bar,
Sorted the dash and instruments,
And almost finished the engine bay......almost.
Road tested all good goes really well very strong top end.
Barks like a dog though compared to the 289 will have to change the mufflers don't want any attention.

Fitted a new brake booster, still have to get the annoying brake switch and pin back in under the dash.
Also fitted a new fuel pressure gauge.
Tomorrow ill try work out my detroit locker problems.
Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an 67, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on MOCA, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car...................

I drove mine with a Sh*t eating grin on my face for the first time in 2 weeks, as it's been away getting paint warranty work done.

drove mine for the first time on the road today. Prior to me owning it, the last time it was driven was around '81-82.   Needs a wheel alignment bad.  Currently set up for oval circuit racing - straight and left.

Nice work there Peter. Well done.

I shifted rubber fuel lines away from my exhaust near the fuel tank. Also purchased some heat shield tape and exhaust wrap to make sure I have no drama. :smash:

Thanks LittleJohn

"I shifted rubber fuel lines away from my exhaust near the fuel tank. Also purchased some heat shield tape and exhaust wrap to make sure I have no drama".

I have encased all the fuel lines and battery cables (battery now in boot) in fire proof lagging.
It has a woven fiberglass inner with a polymer outer and is rated rated at 1000 degrees.
Still need to fit the original Mustang T bar handle and shaft but wanted to make sure everything is ok before I address all the finer detail.
Peter.

Where did you get that fire proof lagging from?
