There is a thread on here about Classic Speed and one person's experience. I can't seem to find it, but if you're interested in buying through them it would be worth searching for it.

That's a shame. Sounds similar to the other poster's experience. Sorry I can't find the thread. Someone will know it and hopefully throw up the link.

Kevin and the other directors/staff from Classic Speed have supported MOCA NSW via sponsorship of the 2012 Nationals (Newcastle) and the All American Day display in 2012 and 2013 ... there may be others.

We do not like to think bona fide businesses would be out there ripping folk off as they are sure to be found out and their activities would be highlighted quickly on various forums.

Do a quick search of this forum for Classic Speed.  I think the most relevant one for you to gauge feelings might be this one:  http://www.mustang.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,14389.msg198406.html#msg198406  There may be others.

From memory. a quick summary would indicate the product you get from Classic Speed should be up to expectations.

We do have a new member to the MOCA NSW club who has purchased the blue convertible that can be seen in some of the advertisements for Classic Speed.  From his comments, he is overjoyed to be a Mustang owner and I have not heard any negative comment about Classic Speed.  If you are ready to take the plunge with them, then I am sure a telephone hookup could be arranged (with their permission).  U2U message me with your contact details when you wish to pursue that opportunity.

That's the thread I was after. Both JT71 and sghicks001 had negative experiences according to their posts, now this. Not a good trend, I would hope that Classic Speed do the right thing and resolve the issues, especially if they're being promoted here and through MOCA.

My Dealings with them, put order in for a 1967 Mustang convertible agreed on price 14months later they hit me with bombshell of approx 30 grand more than i budgeted for not only is car still in production car is 6 months late and still counting Lucky i got my money back just the other day so that's why I'm looking for one now so any one looking to buy a car from them make sure you have a very deep pocket. One good thing that came out of my 14month ordeal at least they admitted they where in the wrong and gave my money back.

SO ANY ONE THINKING ABOUT GOING TO ''CLASSIC SPEED""   MAKE SURE ALL COSTS ARE OUT LINED FIRST

Thanks PMB but im not a Corvette Man Thanks for the thought though :smilies: And i agree with you George im actually Happy I Got out Come to think of it   STUFF CLASSIC SPEED For a $140 K it would wanna have gold gauges and Gold Steering wheel

They waited one year to tell me oh by the way you know that invoice you nearly paid off you have GST to pay as well and Engineering costs, Tow truck from docks , and lastly the big one Luxury Car Tax , we all know how that works anything after $59,212 i think it is Luxury Car Tax but at the time Grant Campbell said don't worry the way we bring it in you'll be right. So it took them one year to tell me that no they are doing things differently now i have to pay all these extras now  :ouch: :ouch:

So like i said earlier for anyone thinking about buying a Mustang from Classic Speed .MAKE SURE THEY OUTLINE ALL COSTS FIRST  OR EVEN BETTER BUY FROM  :flag: :flag:

LCT , a reminder on LCT , the luxury car tax is only payable on cars over $59000 including gst and with that it is only the amount over the threshold of the $59000 that LCT is applied to .
example if i buy a stang and it costs me $65000 including gst , the LCT payable is on $6000 less the gst amount at a rate of %33 so you are looking at aprox 5453.00 x%33 = $1799.50 in tax on top of your total purchase price = $66799.50
so if someone is charging you %33 on the total purchase price thats a no no .
imformation from the ATO web site
Its funny how quick kids learn to drive a car, yet fail to understand a lawnmower.

Ye That's wright  67fasty.sm  that is correct however when someone like the likes of Classic Speed say no don't worry the way we bring them in you will not pay and then a year later they go back on there word that not one but 2 sales reps tell you don't worry it will be sweet oh and no mention on GST till a year later i say :ouch: :ouch: :ouch: :ouch: very very  :evilone: :evilone: :evilone: sneaky maybe they thought i had an open cheque book.   oh and by the way most of there cars are not original  GTA ,GT etc etc.
VERY INCOMPETENT AND MISLEADING  :sick:VERY HAPPY I GOT MY MONEY BACK AT LEAST
